Balance and Vestibular Rehabilitation

Physical Therapy can help improve your dizziness, balance, and mobility skills and help decrease your risk of falling.

As people get older dizziness and balance becomes increasingly more common and problematic. It is a common misconception that developing dizziness is a normal part of aging, it isn’t! Physical Therapy can help improve your dizziness, balance, and mobility skills and help decrease your risk of falling. Common disorders seen by Vestibular therapists (therapists that work with “dizzy clients”) are BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo), vestibular hypofunction (inner ear infections), dizziness associated with central pathology (dysfunctions of the brain), feelings of imbalance (often related to a combination of factors like weakness, numbness in feet, impaired vision, etc.), or having a history of falling.
